 The Old Ship Inn, Pub and Restaurant a 17th Century village inn serving great beers and home cooked food.


Set in the beautiful village of Upwey just a short drive from Weymouth town centre and Dorchester. We welcome well-behaved dogs and children, we also have a dog water bowl in both the bar and the garden and a dog biscuit barrel on the bar.


This 17th Century traditional village inn is renowned for serving outstanding beers and a great range of home cooked food. Set in the beautiful village of Upwey, the pub is steeped in history and features in Thomas Hardy’s novel ‘Under the Greenwood Tree’.
